How much does 3D printing cost?
We charge based on the use of printing material, $.10 per gram. Adequate funds must be available in the user’s GoPrint account before we can schedule a print job. You can set up or add funds to a LBCC GoPrint account in advance.
How large can my print job be?
Our Afinia H800 has a build envelope of 10" x 8" x 8" – print jobs need to fit inside this area.
What file type should my 3D model be?
Please submit your 3D model as an STL file.
How long does 3D printing take at the LBCC Library?
The time it will take to print your submission depends on a number of factors, such as the length of the print queue and the size of the item you are printing. We recommend allowing two weeks for your submission to be completed. Please let us know of any time constraints when you submit your request.
What type of plastic does the 3D printer use?
We are currently using ABS (Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene) filament in our 3D printer.
