The LBCC Library maintains three areas for computing. All Library computers are available for open use with preference given to LBCC student users (public users may be asked to leave if computers are full), and have b&w and color printing available. Users must create a printing account and then deposit funds into their account in order to print from Library computers. There is no wireless printing available at this time.
There are several laptops available for LBCC students to check out for either 3 hours use or for 3 day loan periods. Students will be asked to complete a user agreement form before being allowed to checkout laptops. Members of the public as well as LBCC faculty/staff are not allowed to checkout student laptops (LBCC faculty/staff should check with Media Services for laptop checkout).
Guidelines for Computer Usage
The Linn-Benton Community College Library adheres to several policies in regards to public/student usage of its computer workstations. The Library upholds expectations for student conduct as set forth in LBCC's "Student Rights and Responsibilities." It also upholds expectations for student/public computer usage as set forth in LBCC's "Guidelines for Using Computers and Related Resources," Administrative Rule B301. The fourth bullet point in AR B301 states:
LBCC computer resources shall not be used to access, distribute, or store pornographic materials; violation of this policy may lead to disciplinary action.
