The Room of Requirement (WH-139A) is a room that provides privacy for lactation, rest, prayer, meditation, quiet contemplation, etc. The room is located under the stairs at the back of the computer lab. The Room of Requirement features a SAD light therapy lamp, a couch, prayer rugs, and outlets.
The Room of Requirement is available on first-come, first-serve basis to LBCC students, employees, and our public patrons. The room cannot be reserved in advance. To use the room, please bring your photo ID to the Circulation desk to check out the key for up to 40 minutes.
The library conference room is Zoom enabled and features a whiteboard, flat panel monitor, computer, webcam, DVD player, and telephone. Please see the panel on the right for details about reserving the conference room.
The Library has two group study rooms available for use by LBCC students and employees and our public patrons.
You may reserve these rooms for a period up to 2 hours as many as 7 days in advance by calling the Reference desk at (541) 917-4645. Users should make arrangements for any desired equipment at the time of reservation. A person or group who is more than 10 minutes late will forfeit their reservation. Reservations for these rooms will be posted on a daily basis. You may reserve up to 2 hours of same-day room usage per student or per group by writing your name on the posted sign-up sheet. Rooms may only be reserved ONCE PER DAY per person or per group. The study rooms may be used on a first-come/first served basis if there are no reservations.
Library use of these rooms takes priority over any reservations. Also, on occasion, a single student using a room may be asked by staff to move so that a group might use the room. This will be done as far in advance as possible of the reserved time slot. Food and drink are allowed in the study rooms - we ask that users clean up the room when they are done.
